At Royal Image
Farm, we do our best to produce horses that are top-class athletes, but
that is only part of our goal. The other half of the equation is
to provide those horses, and their riders, with the correct education to
allow them as partners to reach their full potential.
A host of different schooling options is available, including training packages for the horse alone or the horse and rider together, riding lessons on our school horses, and half-day/day/weekend clinics. Consistency plays such an important role in the training of horse and rider! With the advantage of a lighted, covered arena at Royal Image Farm, training is possible year-round. |

Royal Image Farm serves as training headquarters to Katja Korsch. Katja holds a Bachelor's Degree in Equine Science from Averett College and has over 20 years experience in training and competing in dressage and combined training. She is currently working with both of the Royal Image stallions and also starts all of the farm's young stock under saddle. She is also available for lessons and coaching at competitions, as well as accepting outside horses for training. A lifelong rider, Katja has been pursuing excellence at the upper levels of dressage by consistently seeking the instruction and guidance of the finest talents in the discipline. Katja spent her summers as a young rider at the famous German national stud, Gestüt Nehmten, breeding and riding exceptional Warmblood horses. She also schooled promising young Trakehner horses at Valhalla Farm in Florida. Although she has extensively ridden and worked with the various European warmblood breeds, Katja’s personal mission is to encourage riders of ALL breeds and disciplines, even (and especially) the non-traditional ones, to give Dressage a try! Her personal horses are an aged Thoroughbred mare who is now retired from her dressage career due to an injury, and a young foundation-type American Quarter Horse gelding that has just started competing and shows great promise. Katja’s concern for the well being of the horse is paramount. Her approach with horses and riders is to clearly define what is expected of both while not asking more than either is capable of giving. Katja is an articulate and skilled instructor; her student's horses leave the lesson happy and relaxed, and the students leave with progressive exercises to practice on their own.
